Joseph Cook, LMHC, Senior Clinician at City Behavioral Health earned his Bachelor’s degree from SUNY College at Oswego, and his Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Marist College.  

Joseph was awarded “Most Outstanding Counselor 2015” from Marist College where he also served as an adjunct professor teaching graduate students about the importance of utilizing evidence-based practices in addiction and mental health treatment. His clinical experience in addiction treatment includes numerous positions in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. Most notedly, Joseph worked as a primary clinician at the world-renowned Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.

Joseph is a truly well-rounded behavioral clinician with extensive training in DBT, CBT and Exposure- Response prevention for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Joe’s clinical expertise also extends to OCD treatment and he has worked as a clinician in an organization that specializes in treatment of OCD. Joe is passionate about behavioral interventions and helping individuals with complex mental health needs find relief and achieve their goals.
