Stephanie Kasen, LMHC
Primary Clinician

Stephanie Kasen, LMHC, is a primary clinician at City Behavioral Health. Stephanie received her BS in Psychology from Santa Clara University and Master’s Degree from Hunter College. She has extensive training and experience in substance abuse treatment and post-graduate training from the Beck Institute in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.


Stephanie has experience working in addiction treatment in clinical settings including the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and Inter-Care. In addition, Stephanie utilizes her background in behavioral therapies in her years of experience working with executives and helping such individuals effectively navigate challenging interpersonal dynamics in the workplace. In addition, Stephanie has developed and facilitated numerous workshops for companies and organizations teaching skills in effective communication.


Stephanie believes in an integrated, supportive psychotherapy approach with a strong emphasis on evidence - based, behavioral strategies. Stephanie brings humor and warmth to the therapeutic relationship and seeks to establish a safe space and a dynamic collaboration to facilitate real change. Her focus is always to help her clients overcome obstacles, think and behave more constructively, and live a life with greater meaning and joy.
